Virgil Doyle Terry, age 88, of Abilene, Tx died Thursday, June 9, 2022. Virgil was born October 17, 1933 in San Saba, Tx. Virgil completed a Bachelors in Speech Radio in 1954. He then served in the military from 1954-1956. Virgil married his wife, Virginia, on November 11, 1956. They were married for 59 captivating years.

Virgil in survived by his Daughter, Jennifer Melton, Granddaughter: Leslie Terry, Lonna Terry, Lauren Fields, Ashley Terry, Nikki Bartley, and Brittany Snow. Virgil is also survived by several Great-Grandchildren: Preston, Anna, Rebecca, Clara, Ryan, Tracen, Saria, Aurora, Harlee, Evangeline, and Zachary, Nephews: Brian Hawkins and Byron Hawkins

Virgil is preceded in death by his parents: Virgil and Trula Terry, Sister: Nelda Hawkins, wife: Virginia Shore Terry, and sons: Mark and Kurt Terry.

Virgil loved spending time with family. Activities he enjoyed included: singing and playing guitar and harmonica, watching movies, fishing, hunting, gardening, puzzles and crafting model planes.

Our family is grateful to know that Virgil is finally at peace.

There will be a private service with only family in attendance on Monday, June 20, 2022.
