Graveside services for Virginia Jane Cordell, 83, of Sherman, Texas, who died late Wednesday, November 27th at Texoma Healthcare Center in Sherman, will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Sandusky, Texas. Pastor Leland Samuelson will officiate.

Jane was born in Whitewright, the daughter of Paul and Ruby Haliburton. Jane enjoyed family, friends, cooking, quilting, and sewing.

Jane was preceded in death by Husband L.C. (Pete) Cordell, Son Michael Roy Sims, Granddaughter Angela Michelle Nelson, Grandson Jefferey Scott Orsak, Son-in-law Al Hunnicutt and Son-in-law Joe Orsak.

She is survived by daughter Judy Hunnicutt of Whitewright, Texas, Daughter Rachel Nelson and husband Mike of Denison, Daughter Linda Hawkins and husband Butch of Denison, Texas, Daughter Connie Knight and Husband Patrick Miller of Austin, Texas, Daughter-in-law Cyndi Christie and husband Tim of Allen, Texas, Stepdaughter Janice Cole and husband Larry of Luella, Texas, Stepson Gary Cordell of Montana, and Stepdaughter Karen Altaffer of McKinney, Texas. She was blessed with 15 Grandchildren, 18 Great-Grandchildren, and 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
