Walter Leon Blankenship passed away at Texoma Medical Center on February 23 2013. He was 56 years of age. A Memorial service will be held on Thursday February 28 2013 at Dannel Funeral Home Chapel at 7:00 p.m. with Doug Walker family friend officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Walter was born on June 3 1957 in Effingham Illinois to John Blankenship and Arletta Eskew. On February 11 1978 he married Belinda Joyce Jeter. For ten years Walter served in the United States Marine Corp. in which he attained the rank of Sergeant. Walter was currently employed as a truck driver for Murray Agriculture. He was a member of Central Christian Church and also a member of the Independent Drivers Association. Walter was preceded in death by his parents and sister Sharon Reeden. Surviving is his wife Belinda brothers John Blankenship of Effingham IL and Perry Murbarger of Justin TX a sister Mary Cook of Oak Island NC many nieces nephews great-nieces and great-nephews.
