Services for Walter Ray Tomlinson 61 will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday May 18 2011 at Dannel Funeral Home. Pastor Neal Alexander of Hagerman Baptist Church will officiate. He passed away at Texoma Medical Center on May 14 2011. Mr. Tomlinson was born on New Year""¢s Day of 1950 and was the first baby born in Big Spring Texas that year. He was born to Howard and Elberta Reynolds Carroll. In later life he was in equipment sales and was employed by John Deere Equipment in Dallas. On December 2 1988 in Irving Texas he married Juliene Nelson. He was Past Master at the White Rock Masonic Lodge #234. Surviving are his wife Juliene Nelson Tomlinson of Sherman, sons Anthony Ryan Cox of Groves and Evan Lee Cox of Dallas, daughter Amy Nicole Smith of Fort Worth and April Yvette Kennedy of Hot Springs Arkansas, parents Howard and Elberta Carroll of Haltom City, sisters Frances Kathleen Scott of Watuaga and Leah Carroll of Dallas, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
