Obituary For Warren David Ridgedell

Warren D. Ridgedell, 85, of Sherman passed at 7:15pm, Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Wilson N. Jones after a short battle with Covid.

Warren was born January 9, 1936 in Amite, LA, to Dudley and Julia Mae Ridgedell. He was married to Maxine Ridgedell in 1959 at Central Baptist Church in Sherman.

He was a 1955 graduate of Amite High School. Warren served in the United States Air Force for four years. He was a chaplain in the National Guard.

He was a technician at Texas Instruments, where he retired after many years. Warren loved his church, teaching, and preaching. In his retirement, he was busy with flea markets, tinkering with his toys, and enjoying life with his loving wife Maxine.

Warren was preceded in death by his parents, Dudley and Julia Mae Ridgedell; his brothers Lyle, Tony and Bucky Ridgedell; his sister Celeste Mixon and his granddaughter Krystal Ridgedell.

Survivors include his wife Maxine Ridgedell, sons David Ridgedell, James Ridgedell, and Johnny Ridgedell (wife Jennifer) of Sherman. Also granddaughter Rachel Brown (husband Terence) of Sherman, grandson Paul David Ridgedell of Sherman, and Jordan Ridgedell of Sherman, and many great-grandchildren.

Family night will be Friday, September 3, from 5-7pm at Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 4, at 10 am at Grayson Bible Baptist Church in Sherman, followed by a short graveside at Cedarlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grayson Bible Baptist Church Building Fund.

    Through each of the 58 years of knowing Warren as a friend and Brother in Law, I have never known a more dedicated man to his Family, his Church, and his friends!!! We will miss him but I know we will be together for all eternity because of our salvation through the shed blood of our Savior, Jesus Christ!!!
