Drew Joiner, 87 passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015 in Sherman, Texas at Wilson N. Jones Regional Medical Center. He was born in Gibsland, Louisiana to the late William Vane Joiner and Liberty Pearl (Edwards) Joiner. He is survived by his son, Jerry "Bubba" Joiner of West Frankfort, IL and daughter, Carroll Joiner Richardson (Ricky) of Marysville, WA. He was known as "Granddaddy" to 4 amazing grandchildren, Nicholle Maddox (Frankie), Josh Joiner (Amber), Holley Hosick (Kyle) and Hope Richardson. He was blessed with 4 wonderful great grandchildren, Ainsli Maddox, Wesley Joiner, Lyric Hosick and Fox Hosick. He is also survived by sister-in-law Eddie Joiner, and other family, many nieces, nephews and friends. Drew served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was an avid quail hunter! His greatest passion was One God, One Faith, One Baptism, Acts 2:38 Gospel message. Numerous folks came to know The Lord Jesus Christ through Drew's illustrative, demonstrative, animated preaching! Drew was preceded in death by: his parents, one sister - Lou Esther Joiner Litton (Guy) and three brothers Bill, Larry (Ruth) and Bobby (Joyce) Joiner. Also preceded in death by the mother of his three children, Joan Frasier, son Wayne Joiner, Jr. & daughter in law, Marble Joiner and many other loved ones. Graveside memorial, military honors and burial will be held Saturday, September 12, 2015 @ 11:00 am at Tulip Cemetery, Athens, Louisiana.
