Yvonne Marie Feddema Montgomery was born November 7, 1928 in Strome in the Alberta region of Canada. She died on April 16, 2017 in Jacksonville, Texas. Yvonne was the youngest of six sisters. Her early years were spent on a family farm. The family later moved to Camrose, Alberta. In 1951, while vacationing with girlfriends in Great Falls, Montana, Yvonne met this young military man name Arthur Montgomery. They married on August 8, 1951 and Yvonne began the adventure of being a military wife. She also became a U.S. Citizen, and the Montgomery's lived all over the United States and twice in England. Yvonne raised her family often on her own while her husband was serving in Vietnam and Panama. She enjoyed travelling in England, Europe, and the United States. Yvonne had three children, Roger Dale Montgomery born in 1955, Timothy Dean in 1956, and Cynthia Ann in 1959. Yvonne enjoyed being a wife and mother and made a comfortable home wherever the family lived. After about twenty years in the military, the Montgomery's retired to Sherman for the children to finish high school. Later the family moved to the Luella area to take up raising cattle. They built their own home and settled in. It is the place the grandchildren call called home. It was built with family in mind, something Yvonne always treasured. Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband and by her son Roger. She is survived by son, Timothy Montgomery and wife Linda from Pearsall, Texas; daughter, Cynthia Stallings and husband Dan of Jacksonville, Texas; daughter in law Betty Montgomery of Sherman; grandchildren Jeremy Montgomery and wife Shannon, Kayla Henry, Stephanie Montgomery, and Rebecca Montgomery, Wylie Stallings, Stacie and Robert Means, and Dave and Mayi Smart. She had two great grandchildren, Briley and Ethan Henry, and numerous nieces and nephews spread from Canada to Texas.
