Obituary For Zachry Wayne Sutherland

Zachry Wayne Sutherland of Bells, Tx tragically lost his life at the age of 18 on November 22, 2023. Zach was born in Sherman, Texas to Wayne Sutherland and Christina Madeley. He was a diesel mechanic apprentice for Burts Mobile Services and Tire Center in Bells, Tx. Zach was happily engaged to the love of his life Alexya Haulmark and was ecstaticly awaiting the arrival of his son Sailor Wayne Sutherland. Zach was rarely seen without his “Papi” Austin Martin partner in crime. The two were well known for all kinds of antics and capers such as climbing on top of retail stores, artistically decorating vehicles, skating, and endlessly aggravating each other. His lifelong best friend was his sister Lisa Sutherland. He always made sure she was taken care of whether she needed a handyman, mechanic, a shoulder to cry on or a clown to make her smile. Anyone who knew Zach knew he loved anything with wheels. His hobbies included skating, skateboarding, drawing, and creating graffiti, dirt bikes, collecting knives, hot wheel cars and monster cans. He loved going to car meets and had recently bought a BMW to fix up for the shows. Zach's bubbly, energic hyper spirit was hard to resist and he could make anyone laugh with his witty sense of humor and quirky smile. He had a huge heart full of life and love and could always be counted on if someone needed a hand. There was never a challenge that he wouldn’t “attack” earning him the nickname of “Zach Attack”. He touched a lot of lives and will forever be missed.

Zach was preceded in death by his aunt Julie Sutherland, cousin Emery Sutherland, and aunt Alicia Owen. He is survived by his grandparents, Ken and Glenda Owen, Mike and Aundrea Sutherland; father, Wayne Sutherland; mother, Christina Madeley and Kevin Madeley; sister, Lisa Sutherland; stepsister, Shyla Madeley; stepbrother, Camden Madeley; uncles, Bobby Sutherland, and Jason Owen and aunt Taylor Owen; cousins, Caleb and Chelsie Sutherland, Collin, Mia, Madison, Mackayla, Easton, and Presley Owen, fiancée, Alexya and son Sailor; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

    On August 3rd, 2023, we found out I was pregnant. We were so scared and excited all at once. He had told me "You name the babies and I'll name the dogs." The next day, He started his new phrase "That's my Sailor Wayne! That's my boy!" We had so much to live for in such little time. However, whether its tomorrow, next week, or when I'm old and grouchy, I will never forget wiping the tears from his eyes when he found out he was going to be having his Sailor Wayne Sutherland. - Alexya Haulmark

    Growing up nana never had a quite house Austin Zach Lisa and myself were always running around laughing. One day while going through Lisa's old dresses we had a bright idea to dress up the guys (who willing agreed). Watching them "strut thier stuff" was a memory I will hold forever. Zach barely fit into that small fabric but he was very determined to look good! He never looked away from a challenge even when it meant being "the prettiest girl at the party".     As always you would stay to yourself when we visited but always spoke to us. My greatest memory was when Tim and you went 4 wheeling together. We watched you grow throughout the years. We will miss you Zach when we come to visit. You did touch our hearts in your own special way. Fly high Zach. We love you.

    I did not know Zachry personally but he was a friend of my son Zadrian. He always said zach was a pretty nice guy. From everything I have heard since he past has been filled with love for him. My thoughts are with his family and Lexi. I'm sure he will be watching over them. He will be missed by many. My heart aches for everyone.
